Weaving Futures Festival

From June 23rd to July 2nd, 2022, we had the distinct honor of hosting and organizing the "Weaving Futures" festival, as part of Esch2022, the European Capital of Culture.

In collaboration with our esteemed partners, Esch2022, loop22.lu, and Weaving Futures, we curated a diverse array of artistic activities, including a symposium and a memorable final dinner.

The festival's commencement featured a multifaceted program, starting with an exhibition showcasing distinctive wearables crafted during the Textile-ateliers. The Douri exhibition was unveiled, presenting a captivating fusion of photos by Nael Nassan and paintings by Fadi Chéquryah. Additionally, a collaborative weaving installation by Samira Vogel and Julina van Bezold was unveiled. To complete the opening, the premiere of "A Mountain of Small Things," a film by Fadi Chéquryah and Nael Nassan, offered a unique and intimate perspective into the exchanges that transpired during the Weaving Futures Project.
